Bishop's Marine Venom Vents

Mercury V8 Cowling Vent increases the engine's air intake and prevents exhaust from entering the rear intake at high speeds which takes away horsepower. Refer to videos for more information on speed increase. (Patent pending).

KEY FEATURES:

If you're out boating and it starts to rain one of our key features that we have created are vent plugs, which prevent water from going into your motor and damaging it through the Venom vent air duct holes, also they are very easy to pop in and out when it is not raining.

We have created vinyl templates that will be applied to the top of the motor cowling which will help you cut and drill exactly where the venom vent needs to be installed on the motor cowling.

We have designed the Vents to be bolted on as well using two-sided tape to make for a very easy installation and to create a very durable application to where you're not worrying about them coming off.

All fasteners are stainless steel. We use nylon lock nuts with flat washers. Each vent requires ten nylon lock nuts and 10 flat washers. We give you 2 extra lock nuts and flat washers.

  • M3 7mm Flat Washers, Stainless Steel
  • 1 Alcohol Prep Pads

Once the vent's are placed on the top of the motor cowling the locking nuts should only be hand-tightened using a 1/4" Drive Spinner Handle until they are snug. DO NOT USE A POWER DRILL. Over tightening will cause the threads to strip or break and the vents will potentially not be usable.

If vents do not slide into the drilled holes properly we recommend using a drill bit in the next size up. All the drilled holes will be outlined in the vinyl template.

IMPORTANT!

To Prevent Improper Installation & Incorrectly Cutting The Motor Cowling, We Highly Recommend Venom Vents To Be Installed By A Professional.
